Terms of use
These terms cover how you play Piradoku, the route puzzle at sea for iPhone. They are written to be read, not to catch you out. By downloading or playing the game you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains what the game collects and why, and it forms part of these terms.

Who we are
Piradoku is made by Softomic, an independent studio registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 92991068, in the Netherlands. When these terms say "we" or "us" they mean Softomic, and "you" means the person playing. You can reach us at info@piradoku.com, and for help with the game at support@piradoku.com.
What Piradoku is
Piradoku is a puzzle game. On every board you draw the one route from your ship to the treasure that fits the numbers on the edge. The game has five worlds of puzzles, a puzzle of the day, hints in the form of a free check and compasses, lives that come back over time, and a harbour where you can change the look of your ship. You play without an account, and your progress is stored on your own phone.
Free to play
Downloading Piradoku and playing all of its worlds and puzzles is free. There are no ads. You never have to buy anything to finish the game. Some extras are for sale, as described below, and you decide whether you want them.
Purchases in the game
The shop in the harbour sells coins, packs of compasses, the shipmate pack, and purchases that support the maker. The current price, and the price in your country, is shown in the game before you buy, and you confirm each purchase in the App Store.
- Apple handles the payment. Purchases are made through the App Store, under Apple's own terms. Billing, receipts and payment methods are managed by Apple, not by us, and we never see your card details.
- Coins and compasses are used up. They are delivered straight away and are spent when you use them in the game. Coins can also be earned by playing.
- The shipmate pack is yours to keep. It can be bought once, and you can restore it on another iPhone with the same Apple account through Restore purchases.
- Supporting the crew is a thank you. A support purchase is a voluntary contribution to the maker. It gives you a word of thanks and, the first time, the crew flag for your ship, and nothing else in the game depends on it.
- Refunds. Because Apple takes the payment, refunds are handled by Apple under its own policy, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue an App Store refund ourselves, but we are glad to help if you get stuck.
- Right of withdrawal. Items you buy in the game are digital content that is delivered immediately. By confirming a purchase, you ask for it to be delivered straight away, and you accept that the fourteen day right of withdrawal under European consumer law ends once it has been delivered. This does not affect your rights if an item is faulty or never arrives.
If something you paid for does not arrive, or disappears, write to support@piradoku.com and we will put it right.
Coins, compasses and other game items
Coins, compasses, lives, sails, flags, hulls and everything else in the game exist only inside Piradoku. They have no value in money, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be sold or transferred to anyone else. You receive a personal right to use them in the game; they do not become your property. Because your progress lives on your phone, deleting the game removes your progress, coins and compasses, except for purchases that can be restored as described above. We may change how the game works, for example how many coins an item costs or how puzzles are rewarded, to keep it fair and fun, but we will not take away something you bought.
Children
Piradoku is made for players of all ages. It asks nothing about the player, has no chat and no ads. If a child plays, a parent or guardian is responsible for any purchases made on the child's device. Screen Time and Ask to Buy on the iPhone can block purchases, and the setting Hide purchases in the game keeps the shop to items paid for with coins.
Playing fairly
Piradoku is for your own personal, non commercial play. Please do not copy, change, resell or redistribute the game or its puzzles, do not try to get around its limits or the payment for purchases, and do not use it for anything unlawful. If the game is seriously misused, we may take measures to stop that misuse.
What belongs to whom
The game, its name, its puzzles, its drawings, its look and the words in it belong to Softomic. These terms let you play; they do not transfer any ownership to you. The rules of the route puzzle itself are a classic and belong to nobody.
The game as it is
We work hard to make Piradoku enjoyable and reliable, and we may update it with new puzzles, fixes and changes. We cannot promise that it will always be free of faults or available without interruption, and we may one day stop offering it. If we ever do, we will try to tell you in good time.
Our responsibility, and its limits
As far as the law of the Netherlands allows, we are not liable for indirect loss or damage that comes from playing the game or from the game being unavailable, and our liability for any other loss is limited to the amount you paid us for purchases in the twelve months before it happened. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence, and nothing in these terms takes away the rights mandatory consumer law gives you.
Apple
These terms are an agreement between you and Softomic, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the game or for support for it. Your use of the App Store is also governed by Apple's own terms, and Apple and its subsidiaries may rely on these terms as a third party beneficiary.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the game grows or the law changes. When we do, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters for you, the game will tell you rather than quietly publish it here. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the updated terms.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. Any dispute we cannot settle together may be brought before the competent court in the Netherlands. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you may also bring a dispute before the courts there.
